Nursing Homes
This course is designed for qualified first aiders who require training that conforms to the recommendations of the Australian Resuscitation Council. This course is also nationally approved and accredited by VETA, the Vocational Education and Training Association.
The course is composed of three sections:
- Work Place First Aid (Compulsory - Modules 1 to 7)
- Advanced Oxygen Resuscitation (Compulsory - Module 8)
- Automatic External Defibrillation. (Optional - Module 9)
Content
Course content conforms to the Policy Statements of the Australian Resuscitation Council. This course is designed with flexibility, so it can be adapted to cater for special needs of the client. One or two modules can be attended, with training in either module.
This level of training allows for advanced training that was not previously available to first aiders.
